Basic troubleshooting

Quick fixes when Stash isn't loading, the map or zoning won't show, or a feature isn't working as expected.

Updated 2 min read

If Stash isn’t loading properly, zoning won’t show, search results don’t appear or a feature isn’t behaving, work through these steps in order. Most problems are fixed by step 3.

Fix common problems

  1. Use an up-to-date browser. Stash works in current versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. We recommend the latest version of Chrome. If your browser is out of date, Stash shows an update notice in the corner of the screen.
  2. Log out and log in again. Open the menu under your name, choose Logout, close your browser, then open it and log back in.
  3. Clear Stash’s saved data. Go to stashproperty.com.au/app/clearCache. This clears the settings Stash keeps in your browser and logs you out. Log back in and try again.
  4. Clear your browser cache. If the problem is still there, clear your browser’s cached files and cookies (see below), then restart your browser.
  5. Contact us. If nothing has worked, get in touch (see below).
What clearing data does

Clearing Stash’s saved data or your browser cache won’t delete your saved properties, notes, files or reports. Those are stored in your Stash account, not in your browser.

Clear your browser cache

Google Chrome

  1. Open the menu. Click the three dots at the top right.
  2. Find the option. Choose Delete browsing data (or Clear browsing data in some versions).
  3. Choose what to clear. Set the time range to All time and tick Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  4. Confirm. Click Delete data, then restart Chrome.

Safari (Mac)

  1. Turn on the Develop menu. Go to Safari → Settings → Advanced and tick Show features for web developers (or Show Develop menu in menu bar).
  2. Empty the cache. Choose Develop → Empty Caches, or press Option + Command + E.
  3. Restart Safari.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open settings. Click the menu button and choose Settings.
  2. Go to privacy settings. Select Privacy & Security.
  3. Clear data. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data, then restart Firefox.

Browser menus change from time to time. If these labels don’t match yours, search your browser’s help for “clear cache”.

Contact us

If the problem continues, contact our support team and tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot and your browser name and version help us fix it faster.
